FEMINIST ART JOURNAL

The Feminist Art Journal was founded in 1972 by Cindy Nemser, Pat Mainardi, and Irene Moss. Based in New York, the three editors sought to expose misogynist discrimination that dominated the arts and advocate for women artists both past and present. In its five-year run, FAJ reached a circulation of 8,000 and had subscribers across America and throughout the world.
